Union Pacific Big Boy: Steam Locomotive Train Party! (Free to Attend)

About this event

A piece of American locomotive history is coming to Downtown Pottstown, and we’re making a party out of it!

Join us at Rivet on Thursday, July 2nd as Union Pacific’s Big Boy No. 4014 makes its way through Pottstown on the road to Philadelphia for the 250th 4th of July celebration. Bring the whole family and hang out with us for a FREE front-row view from our courtyard!

We’ll have refreshing drinks, funnel fries, fried Oreos, water ice, and the JJ Ratigan Food Truck on site, along with axe throwing and a temporary tattoo station for a fun, family-friendly afternoon downtown!

Event Details

🕰️ Party starts at 1:30 PM.
🚂 Scheduled train stop at 3:30 PM.
👉 All ages are welcome!
⚙️ Outside food and drinks are not permitted. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at our event.

A Note on Parking

This historic event is expected to draw large crowds from around the region, and parking will be very limited due to nearby road closures.

Rivet has only 60 total on-site parking spots available for $20 per vehicle. We strongly recommend arriving early and giving yourself extra time to park.
